There's only us
There's only this
Forget regret
Or life is yours to miss
No other road
No other way
No day but today

Merry Christmas!!!!

Currently Listening
Duck Rock
By Malcolm McLaren

So yesterday I was riding home with my Dad from my Grandpa's and we were talking about moments that you would want to catch on film.  We pull in to my driveway and I walk up to the front door as usual.  Only sitting in a tub next to our front porch is a duck.  I yell, "Dad, get your camera. Here is a photo opportunity we were just talking about. He simply replies, "You see the duck, huh?" I come to find out that this duck had spent a couple of days at our next door neighbor's house.  My Dad went over there to see how he was doing (the guy is selling his house) and there is a duck in his back yard.  The duck has now taken residence at oour house and Amy has named him Oscar. In all reality he is a she, but Oscar is still what we call it.  Tonight I sat on the porch next to Oscar and he kept sticking his head in his pocket looking for food. Oh and the duck has no problem walking into my house and chasing Bailey, the family dog, around.  This seriously is the cutest thing that has ever happened to me.  It will be very sad if and when he leaves.

So here it goes, an actual update.

For those of you who cared to read my previous update, I did finish my paper and did it in record time: 2 hours. Yes, I am indeed excited because the emailing of that paper marked the end of my freshman year. This went by extremely faster than I had imagined, which is probably because it is shorter than a high school year (Wow, that sounds really ignorant and banal for some reason). Anyway, I guess it is necessary to state how I don't feel any older and that time flys by so fast and that I am such a different person now and so on and so forth. However, I think the above is true for me. Obviously I am getting older though I don't feel older. In all honesty, I still feel like I am 12 some days. Well, a very mature 12 year old, I have never acted my age. Going on. Time did fly by remarkably fast. I don't know why I didn't see that coming because everybody and their mother tells you that time flys by. So, that is the second time I have made the statement that time flys by. Fuck, I don't sound any smarter at the end of my freshman year. On another note, I am a somewhat different person, but who the hell really cares.

So, now for a little more interesting news. At the beginning of the spring semester I was the President of KLP. As Mary Roach would say in regards to that success, "Not too shabby." I enjoyed being the president because I liked being in charge, however I won't be the president next semester. Actually, I was offered the position as Director/President of the Queer Student Union Board. I was really surprised because not only am I obviously the youngest to be offered the position, but I am also the first female to get the position. Needless to say I was pretty excited. But, I am going to be the V-President of KLP because I don't want that organization to fall into the wrong hands or I can't handle not being in control. Either way, I am still in charge. LoL. So now I am a Director, Vice-President of KLP and a member of Tomahawk. I'm thinking that sums up the whole organizations aspect of my freshman year.

Oh, and as for theatre. I was cast as the only female understudy for Arms and the Man. You may be thinking, "Understudy, wow, what an accomplishment!" But, it actually is. Of the 20 girls who auditioned, in addition to the four graduate students, only three would be cast into the show and there would be only one understudy. So, he had two other grads and a handfull of other actors to choose from to be the understudy and he suprisingly chose me. So I am pretty happy.

Hope everyone else had a great freshman year or sophomore year or junior year or any year in general. I am really hoping that made sense.

Ok, first thing is first.

SCOTTIE THE BODY IS FINALLY GONE!!!!

Yeah, I know it is like a day late, but I am obviously bad at updating and keeping everyone up with the current events of my so called life (Yeah, I know I stole that, but I lack originality at this moment in time).

Anyway, I am working on a paper that is due tomorrow for my English class. I love, well loved, my teacher for post poning the due date until this week. He thought we needed the extra time, but I think I speak for the whole class that had it been due a week ago, we still wouldn't have started until the night before it was due. Obviously, that is what I have done. Gotta love procastination.

On another note, for those of you who care, I am gettung a new car this or early next week. More details to come, but I need to focus.
